Each in the first state (of 2), before the addition of Silvestre's address on the title plate and before the numbers on the other etchings. With thread margins or trimmed on the plate mark 3 sides and just inside the plate mark lower margin, with the inscription preserved. A brilliant, early and richly-inked impression of this large, important etching, with the boldly shaded foreground and the tonal nuances throughout the image distinct.

Lieure 353 IIème état/IV with the falcon in the sky upper center distinct, the other bird just fragmentary, and before Silvestre's address. Trimmed on the plate mark. A brilliant, dark and richly-inked impression with very strong contrasts and all the delicately etched details in the background distinct.
